If what you are looking for is a place to have a picnic with your family or group of friends, you can go to Maldà’s Font Vella (‘Old Fountain’), which was inaugurated in 1984, taking advantage of the old underground water mine. In this garden-like environment, you will also find big trees, whose shade will protect you during sunny days, tables, benches, fireplaces to cook food, children’s playgrounds and public toilets. It’s an ideal place for adults and children to spend a day outdoors, in contact with nature.

You can complement your visit by taking a walk through Maldà, visiting the Castle and the Rural Women’s Mural, or going to the Ermite of Sant Joan to watch the sunset, with the Secans de Belianes-Preixana plain in the background.
